Once again trail runners descended on Lake Macquarie and Raffertys Resort for the 2019 edition of Raffertys Coastal Run. Sunny but blustery conditions at the start line greeted the runners but that didn’t stop them smashing out some super quick times around the picturesque course. With stunning coastal views across Lake Macquarie and the Pacific Ocean, complete with whales and dolphins passing by, it had the runners beaming from ear to ear as they tackled the course.
Thanks to Raffertys Resort for their tremendous support and for hosting the Start and Finish of the event. Also to sponsors ThermaTech and Tailwind Nutrition Australia for their continued support as well as to new event partner, National Breast Cancer Foundation, whom many of you supported through your generous online donations upon entry.
A big shout out as well to our incredible volunteers who were out in force at the event centre and on course at aid stations, cheering the runners on and adding to the atmosphere of the event.

Raffertys Coastal Run will be back in 2020 with entries opening on the 2nd of March next year, so be sure to make a note in your calendar so you don’t miss out.
