The 2022 edition of Raffertys Coastal Run is nearly here! After a couple of years of COVID delays were are stoked to be returning to the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie and we look forward to welcoming all runners to the event.
The Event Program is now available with information on all race distances, 36km, 22km, 12km and the Kids Fun Run.

Wet weather over the East coast of NSW earlier in the year has meant plenty of trails and areas have been closed to runners. The recent drier weather has allowed most of those trails to begin to dry out, this includes the Raffertys Coastal Run course. While there might be some short sections that are boggy underfoot and a few larger puddles to skirt around (especially in areas where illegal 4WD’s have been) the course is in reasonable shape. Following our last course inspection late last week we will be making one change to the 36km course, tweaking the route across, and then back across, the headland South of Catherine Hill Bay. Namely, we will be using the ‘top’ route both on the way out and the way back. This won’t change the overall distance for the 36km course, just follow the course markings and any marshalls and you won’t go wrong!
