Due to the COVID-19 situation in NSW and the continuing restrictions on outdoor events, Raffertys Coastal Run will not be able to take place as planned on Saturday 23rd October. Unfortunately, the event is just too close to the anticipated lockdown lifting dates, and the rules surrounding outdoor events of this nature once vaccination targets are met remain unclear at this stage.
We are bitterly disappointed that we have had to make this decision having got so close to having the event go ahead. Raffertys Coastal Run has been postponed until next year, to be held on Saturday 9th July, 2022.
All registered Raffertys Coastal Run 2021 runners will automatically have their entry again rolled over to the new event date next year. If you have received your race bib in the mail already, you may discard it this time as you will be issued with a new race bib for the 2022 event.
We understand that the new date means that some runners won’t be able to attend. If that is you then the following options are available to you;
- Transfer 100% of your entry fee to another Max Adventure event in 2021 or 2022. If you are wanting to transfer your entry you will need to let us know by Monday 9th May, 2022, via email to [email protected]. You do not need to decide which event you are transferring to by that date but to claim this transfer offer you will need to notify us so we can withdraw you from Raffertys Coastal Run for 2022. We hope this gives our runners plenty of time to decide if they would like to remain in Raffertys Castal Run in 2022 or transfer to another of our events with confidence.
- A refund of your entry fee, plus any pre-purchased merchandise if desired, minus the nominated admin fee of $30. To claim a refund please email [email protected]. Refunds will be available until Sunday 26th June 2022, two weeks out from the new event date.
If you are a registered Triple Trail Challenge 2021 runner this means that you will still be registered in the 2021 series, however you will be completing the Raffertys Coastal Run event in 2022 instead of 2021. Your Triple Trail Challenge 2021 race bib (which you would have used for Jabulani Challenge 2021 and will still use for the Coastal Classic 2021) will still be valid and should be kept to use at Raffertys Coastal Run 2022. Please refer to the email sent to you today regarding your transfer/refund options if you can not attend this new event date.
